JOO takes inspiration from the Swedish native people ”the samis” with classic ”pewter thread jewellery” as well as modern influences and intricate jewellery techniques. Johanna finds her creative expression in dynamic modern pieces. JOO jewellery is an exciting mix of contrasting materials and this is something Johanna looks to nature for. Her surrounds and the climate is an abundant inspiration. The mountains and the sea, winter fire and frozen ice. From Northern, magical winter Lapland, to the summer island of Gotland and back to the pulsing city life in Stockholm. JOO refers to her jewellery as ”cross-over ” as pieces are a blend of different material and techniques.

  Swedish designer Johanna Tornberg is the founder and creative behind JOO jewellery. From her base in Stockholm, Sweden she creates wearable distinct pieces of jewellery that really make the wearer feel ‘wow’. Born and raised in the city of Luleå in Swedish Lapland and now working in the beautiful archipelago just outside Stockholm; Johanna can’t help but be inspired by her heritage and surrounds. Gokväll! Fredag och helgen är här igen, lovely. Jag gillar verkligen att jobba med pärlor och skinn i kombination så här kommer ett smakprov på "Pearls for Girls" för flickor i åldern 0-12 år. Imorgon 3-års kalas hos Princess Amy på Ingarö så jag döpte ena armbandet efter henne. Fler barnarmband och andra nya, annorlunda armband "comin up" i helgen så håll utkik.
